Combination News...

At the most recent Combination meeting a draw was held to allow Dowty RFC to enter the Glanville Cup Competition. The Glanville Cup draw already made a month ago contained clubs that had been awarded a bye in the 1st round, these clubs were put back in the hat and result of this is Coney Hill 3rd team are now home to Dowty RFC in the first round. This new fixture is to take place UNLESS one of the named teams already drawn or given a Bye drops out of the competition by being unable to fulfil their fixture, in this case Dowty will take the place of that team.

The NGC cup draws have taken place at Kingsholm, please see the relevant cup pages for all fixtures. The Combination would like to thank Paul Doubler and Paula Jones of Worthington, Dave Lewis (Gloucester RFC) and obviously Gloucester Rugby for hosting the event.

The NGC cup draws will take place at Kingsholm on Monday 1st of February, starting at 7pm. The format will be the same as last year with two Gloucester players in attendance, everyone welcome to attend. Each member club must submit a full list of players for the cup competition by email to cuplist@mtcgroup.co.uk (preferably in excel or word) by the 1st of Feb, with any amendments by the end of February.

Coney Hill have won all three combination cups, completing the third grand slam in four years.
