DOWTY TO HOLD SPECIAL MATCH

Dowty rugby club are holding a memorial match for former member Charlie Roberts, who died in January this year from pneumonia. He was a loved member of Dowty Rugby club for a number of years, both as a player in the 1960s and 70s and as a committee member and treasurer for several years.

He kept in contact with the club all his life and was a strong supporter of Gloucester rugby.

The game will be played on Saturday, April 19 at Dowty Rugby Club's home ground at the Oxstalls Tennis Centre, Plock Court (3pm kick-off).

There will be a past versus present players format and any players who wish to come along and have five minutes on the pitch are welcome.

There will be a buffet after the game so even if you do not wish to play, anyone can come along and watch the match and have a chat with all the players after the game.
